The Alive Technologies Monitoring System meets an existing need that has not been satisfied by any product currently
available.
The product is targeted to the diagnosis and treatment of chronic cardiovascular diseases, including atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure and sleep apnea,
as well as general health and fitness. Congestive heart failure alone affects over 3 million Americans leading to over 2.5 million hospital admissions annually
at a cost of US$7.5 billion. Each year, 400,000 new cases are diagnosed. Researchers expect the incidence of congestive heart failure to double by the year 2020.
By having appropriate diagnostic and monitoring systems suitable for primary care and home use as proposed by Alive Technologies,
hospital admissions will be considerably reduced, and the disease diagnosed and treated at an early stage, preventing its progression.

The treatment of patients with chronic illness in their own home will be greatly improved. Because the Alive Monitor
sends out data wirelessly, patient health can be monitored continuously while patients are leading their normal life. The patient’s quality of life will be
improved, and the patient’s condition more easily diagnosed.
